How to rotate text in Preview (macOS)

Have you ever edit your photos on your mac? Have you used the build-in app called Preview? This tool is great, it’s simple and very intuitive. You can select, delete, crop, add elements and much more.

Some of this functions might not be accessible from menu or icons and you have get intuitive to find it. One good example is rotating text.

For this you have to:

1. Add your text to your photo

2. Be sure you have your text selected and use 2 fingers on your trackpad Touchpad to rotate the text (keep one finger fixed).

Have fun!

  1. BHAH. This doesn’t work, not even with a trackpad. If the supposed option is available with a trackpad, it would also be available from the menu. And “if” it were available in the menu as described being possible to do – the option for “free rotate” would exist and it doesn’t. The only thing you can do is rotate the entire image(s), including any pasted text or other images.
