If you right click on your Explorer icon in taskbar you will find a “Frequent” list.

In case you want to remove/disable that list you have to:

1. Right click on Start button and select Properties

2. Remove the check marks from “Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu” and “Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and taskbar” in the “Privacy” section.
