How can I get back that disk space and can I access the files in there?

Hi … go to Start and search for “Computer Management” … select Disk Management under Storage. There you can find your HDD partitions and unallocated space… Be aware that VAIO has a hidden partition used for recovery. DO NOT delete that partition!
